What is Axe Throwing?
Axe throwing is a sport started in 2006 in a backyard in which the competitor throws an axe at a target, attempting to hit the bulls eye as near as possible. Axe throwing is an event in most lumberjack competitions. Today there are commercial locations in Canada, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom and Poland where participants can compete, similar to dart throwing.

We host group events that range from 1 - 2 hours of axe throwing fun. Every event has dedicated axe throwing lane(s) and a dedicated axe throwing coach that will teach you how to throw an axe while playing fun games. How much is it?
Our price is $24.99 + taxes per person. This includes lessons on how to throw axes. Ask about group rates and first time discount coupon. Group rates are available for groups of 8-20 people. Group rates are $22.99 + taxes per person.
What are the minimum and maximum group sizes for events?
We can accomodate groups of up to 20 people.
Do we allow walk-ins?
Yes, walk-ins are welcome. Our axe throwing schedule
is updated weekly and we encourage people to check the schedule 2 hours before they're planning on visiting as it is subject to change.
What are the hours of operation?
Axe Factor is open the hours posted below. Since we're extremely busy, we encourage you to book at least 2 months in advance, especially on weekends.
How can I pay?
We accept cash or credit cards.
When should I book? How far in advance?
If you are looking to book on a weekend, then you should book at least 4-6 weeks in advance. If you are looking to book on a weekday, then you should book at least 1-3 weeks in advance.
How long does it take?
Sessions are typically 2 hours long.
Can I come with a couple of friends or a date?
We would love you to come in with your friends or on a date. To get a dedicated coach, you must book an event and meet minimum group size requirements. Alternatively, we offer walk-ins; please check the axe throwing calendar
What should I wear?
We do require everyone who throws to wear closed-toed shoes. Other than that just wear something comfortable.
Do you guys provide all the equipment?
Yes, we supply all materials and equipment including the axes.
Can my kids do this?
We allow kids to participate provided they can throw the axe in a safe manner and their guardian or parent is present.
Can we take pictures or videos?
Yes you can most certainly take pictures and videos and in fact we encourage it!
Do you guys have a league?
No … we are considering this item but have not started it yet.
What are the axe throwing rules?
The rules will be explained to you during the orientation speech prior to your event.
What if I have to cancel? What's your policy?
We require a 2 week cancellation notice in order to receive a refund on your deposit. This also applies to events that need to be rescheduled - 2 weeks notice is required.
Is there an age limit?
We do not have an age limit, but there is a strength restriction. If we feel that a person is not strong enough to throw the axe in a safe manner, then we will not let them throw.
Can we bring our own axes?
Yes you may bring your own axe. As long as it is in good condition and is WATL compliant
Do you guys provide gift certificates?
Yes, we provide gift certificates that make a great gift!
Can we bring our own food?
Yes, you are more than welcome to bring your food or snacks.
Do you guys supply plates, forks and knives?
No, we do not provide any eating utensils. That is the responsibility of the group to bring their own if they are planning to bring food.
Do you guys have a fridge to put drinks?
Yes, we have a mini-fridge that drinks and food can be placed in.
Do you guys have music or should we bring our own?
Yes, we have a bluetooth speaker. We can play any specific kind of music at your request.
Will someone show us how to throw the axe before we start?
Yes, there will be a brief orientation at the beginning of your event where you will be shown the proper way to throw the axe.
Can people come and just watch or do they have to pay still?
Yes, people are more than welcome to come and cheer on their friends and family at no additional cost to them.
Is it safe? Has anyone ever gotten hurt?
We have never had anyone hurt or injured in any way. It is completely safe and we are very strict in making sure that everyone is throwing the axes in a safe manner.
